THE National Police continued with their investigations into the shooting of 63-year-old Katharine Glaser on the porch of her home in Cala Murada, Manacor, on Sunday afternoon. Murder detectives and forensic investigators are still hunting for the murder weapon, thought to be a 22 calibre pistol, after a holster was found inside the property which the victim shared with her partner and his sister. Police are said to be still working on the theory that the killer was an acquaintance of the victim but, as of going to press last night, no one had been arrested or charged. The results of ballistic tests taken were still being awaited by detectives and house-to-house inquiries in the area, a sleeping neighbourhood of the resort, continued. The victim's partner was questioned on Monday but he denied any involvement with the shooting. When asked about the holster found inside the property, he apparently admitted to the police that he had owned a pistol a long time ago and no longer possessed a weapon. What has also stumped detectives is that there appeared to be no apparent motive for the shooting.
