MAJORCA'S world tennis ace, Rafael Nadal has finished filming the first part of a new promotional video organised by the Balearic Tourism ministry which is aimed at boosting the Islands at overseas travel markets.
The video captures the tennis star sailing through waters off the coast by Sa Rapita, Es Trenc and the Salines headland with the Island of Cabrera in the background. The first part was filmed just before Nadal set off for Canada to take part in the Montreal Masters Series.
According to the regional Ministry for Tourism, the second part of the video will be shot at different natural landscape locations around the Islands focusing on open-air leisure activities such as trekking and golf.
The purpose of the video is not just to promote the Balearics as a top holiday destination using a generic advertisement but also to show the tourist attractions of the individual islands using material shot on Majorca, Minorca, Ibiza and Formentera.
