After last Saturday’s disappointing turn out of volunteers to help with the Andraitx reforestation operation, yesterday they were out in force.

Palma.—Some three weeks ago, over 100 volunteers signed up to help the Saturday reforestation campaign but last week only 70 turned up and Andraitx Council issued a plea for the volunteers not to them and the reforestation operation down.

The plea was heard, and yesterday, despite some over night rain and the torrential rain earlier this week making the ground hard going, 98 volunteers turned up at 7am.
