3 taxi ranks for Paseo Maritimo

THREE taxi ranks will be set-up along Palma's Paseo Maritimo, the council has announced. Both tourists and residents alike have often complained about the lack of taxis along what is one of the city's premier nightspots.
So far the council have not given any details of where the ranks will be established.
Also, the council intends to crack down on those who attempt to queue barge by calling for a taxi on their mobile phone instead of waiting at the taxi rank. Only people who work or live on the Paseo Maritimo will be allowed to telephone for a taxi. Cab firms will be instructed to ask for a full address although the council does admit that this new piece of legislation will be difficult to enforce.
