Palma.—The National Police have been questioning a Manacor resident about claims that he opened fire on a group of residents during an argument last Thursday afternoon.

According to sources close to the investigation, the suspect has admitted to having brandished the revolver, which police now have in their custody, but not firing it.

No one was hurt
According to the neighbours who reported the man, he approached them as they returned home last Thursday.
He apparently threatened with the revolver and then fired.
No one was hurt but the couple immediately reported the incident to the police who arrested the suspect the following morning.
The weapon has been sent for ballistic tests to establish whether or not it has been fired recently and the result, the police hope, will resolve the matter as there were no eyewitnesses and no other reports of a shooting.

In the meantime, the suspect has been conditionally released.
