This was the first time that the airport registered 3,58 million passengers in a single month, and represents an increase of 1,6% compared to the same period last year.
May and June have also proved to be good months for local tourism, and reports confirm that August is now the third month this year where records have been beaten.
These figures have been boosted by the constant influx of foreign tourists.

British, German, Norwegian, Swedish, Swiss and Russian tourists have flooded the island since the beginning of the season and were the main reason for the positive results verified in Son Sant Joan so far.
The movement generated by incoming and outgoing passengers means the airport registered 5,4% more movement than in previous years.
