Newsdesk THE Guardia Civil have arrested an American for allegedly growing and possessing cannabis. They also seized materials which are used for the cultivation, production, packaging and labelling of marijuana in his house in Pont d'Inca, police sources said. In addition to this, they also seized 140 kilogrammes of cannabis plants, the sources said yesterday. The arrested man, aged 34, identified only as Gary C, allegedly had in his house a “greenhouse” for growing Cannabis Sativa plants. It was allegedly equipped with dehumidifiers, powerful floodlights and various other elements to encourage the rapid growth of the plants. In his house, the Guardia Civil also found two Cannabis Sativa growing areas. One of these was being used as a laboratory for the production and packaging of the seeds and shoots for the production of hemp. They also found two garden areas, with two beds where a great number of cannabis plants of different varieties had been sown. The plants are understood to have been between 1.40 and 2 metres tall.
