Foreign pirate taxi drivers “exiled” from Spain

IBIZA FOREIGNERS who have illegally acted as taxi drivers and have failed to pay the ensuing fines, have been banned from returning to Spain for five years, said the Council of Ibiza yesterday. Thel decree, being co-ordinated with Spain's Ministry for Foreign Affairs will affect those with fines of 6'000 euros or over. The punishment will be enforced as soon as the time period for voluntary payment of the fine comes to an end. The move comes in an effort to stamp out widespread “taxi piracy.”
