The Calvia police and Guardia Civil in Magalluf have made a series of arrests and seized a number of stolen mobile telephones which had been stolen in the area.
Police suspect that the telephones were later resold. Police estimate that they seized mobile phones and other electrical appliances from the gang valued at more than 7,000 euros.
Mobiles phones have become the items which are most stolen in the Balearics at the moment. Smart phones, which can cost up to 800 euros are obviously top of the list.
