THE weather station is predicting a cloudy outlook for the solar eclipse, which will be visible in the Balearic Islands between 9.43am and 12.34pm.
The solar eclpise tomorrow, which will travel through a north-easterly to south-westerly direction, will be also visible throughout the mainland, Canary Islands, rest of Europe and other areas along the African, Middle East, West Asia and Indian continents. There has not be such a sighting of a solar eclipse on the islands for 228 years, and there will not be another from Spain until 2026.
According to the weather predictions by the National Weather Station, there is to be cold front over the Mediterranean tomorrow, bringing a cloudy mornining for the north of Galicia, Cantabria, north of Castilla y leon, Pyrenees, northern Catalonia, and the Balearic Islands. The weather station is also studying the effect of the environmental temperatires during the solar eclipse.
The Protection Civil and other organisations, such as ONCE, are warning residents to take extreme caution when observing the solar eclipse.
