The regional and central governments came under fire from the opposition yesterday for slashing the Balearic tourism budget for 2014.

Palma.—Central government in Madrid has already cut the Balearics’ overall budget for next year by 74 million euros, nearly five percent in its draft budget announced last week.
But, it was revealed yesterday that the biggest shortfall of state aid is going to be for tourism which has seen its state funding slashed by 49.6 percent since the PP came to power in 2011.
