THE Balearic Strategic Tourism Institute (Inestur) will be paying 30'000 euros in order to reinstate the traditional weekly live animal market in Sineu, which goes back around 700 years. The Minister for Tourism, Joan Flaquer, and the Mayor of Sineu, Josep Oliver, signed this agreement yesterday said a spokesperson from the Balearic government. During his visit to Sineu, Joan Flaquer, observed the condition of the renovation works to the local sports centre in Sineu.
This sports centre project has been financed by programmes which aim to help towns combat the effects of the winter tourism season. The total budget of this renovation work reaches 930'000 euros.
