A total of 11 Balearic companies will participate in a European commercial expedition which will visit China on November 9 and 10.
The visit will take place in Sichuan, capital of the region of Chengdu with the aim of establishing business links.
These statements were made by the director of the Balearic European Centre (CBE), Fernando de Francisco, who said that of the Balearic companies due to take part, two are dedicated to services related to the tourist industry. Although another two hotel companies who were due to go have now pulled out.
De Francisco revealed that included in the visit to China will be a provider of products for the catering trade, with 31 years of experience in the sector, as well as the architectural and engineering firm THR, with headquarters in Barcelona and Palma, who specialise in tourist and catering consultancy, and have already designed projects for accommodation complexes. In addition to this, on the expedition to China there will also be Balearic technological companies, such as Mallorquina de Comunicacion y Servicio, SL,, construction machine companies such as Iber-Putz, SL, as well as environmental companies such as Ecorecicling, SL. Also taking part will be food companies, like the farmers transformation society Agromallorca and Bodegas Crestatx (which is a pioneer in this market), as well as companies from other segments. In total, 39 Spanish companies will participate in Asia-Invest, which will be one of the largest contingents in the expedition, only beaten by Italy with 48 and France with 47. Balearic companies will form 25 percent of the Spanish expedition.
