Palma—The SV Tenacious, along with the SVLord Nelson, belongs to the Jubilee Sailing Trust (JST) which is a registered charity whose mission is to promote the integration of people of all physical abilities through the challenge and adventure of tall ship sailing aboard two very special ships, one of which, the SV Tenacious, was specially designed and built to cater for disabled people, even those in wheelchairs. New Captain, Simon Catterson said yesterday that he was delighted to be back in Palma. "I’m delighted Tenacious is back in Palma. We were very well looked after here last year and had some great sailing around the islands and across to Barcelona and Valencia. This year’s we’re on the Pantalan del Mediterraneo and I would like to thank Oscar Sitges for that, and we are going to be operating in and out of Palma for the next few weeks."
A nautical chance of a lifetime for the disabled
This evening, SVTenacious will set sail from Palma for an eight day voyage with a crew made up of mainly disabled people with a love for adventure.
