Balearic citizens will spend on average 74 euros each during the sales that kicked off yesterday, according to a consumer organisation.
Palma.—The amount is around four percent more than the average spent last year but still below other regions in the country and the pre recession levels.
In the capital, Madrid, the amount expected to be spent by consumers over the next few weeks is of around 100 euros. Madrid and Valencia (92 euros) top the list.
At the other end of the scale are the Canary Islands, with every citizen on average expected to spend only 72 euros. Overall throughout Spain, the average is 84 euros per citizen, a five percent increase from last year.
