The Balearic Minister for Education said yesterday that she is prepared to negotiate the smooth introduction of the TIL trilingual curriculum with the unions.

Palma.—The move could be considered something of a climb down by the government which wanted the TIL curriculum in schools at the beginning of this current school year which began back in September.
However, teachers, students and parents mounted mass protests against the idea on the simple grounds that many of the teachers had not had sufficient time to prepare for teaching subjects in English.
