Palma.—The President of the Balearics, Jose Ramon Bauza who took part in Saturday’s massive protest in Ibiza against oil prospecting some 50 kilometres off the coast, yesterday underlined that his government is prepared to do everything within its powers to stop the oil prospecting from going ahead.
Over 20,000 people took part in demonstrations on each of the four islands last Saturday and Bauza is not ruling out taking legal action if necessary, despite the risk of clashing with Partido Popular superiors in Madrid.
