Over 50 members of the National Police mounted an island wide operation yesterday against a gang specialising in the illegal trafficking of vehicles.

Palma.— The second phase of ‘Operacion Milla’ was given the green light to go at 7.30am and, simultaneously, units from the National Police’s serious and organised crime units stormed a number of properties in Palma, Santa Maria, Vilafranca de Bonany and a property in Casa Blanca, just on the outskirts of Palma.
By mid afternoon, at least five people had  been arrested on charges of the illegal trafficking of vehicles and falsifying documents.
