Port authorities say that Spain can surpass the record number of 8 million cruise visitors of 2011 this year.

Palma.—Balearic ports have been the reference points for the majority of cruise ships which have put into a Spanish port  so far this year, a report published by the Balearic Port Authority revealed yesterday.
Up until 28 February  28 cruise ships made port in local waters, 17 more than during the same period the year before.
The amount of passengers aboard the vessels has also more than trebled, rising from just over 34,000 in 2013 to 106,790 thousand this year, placing the Balearics as the region where the rise has been more significant during the first few months of this year.
