Palma.—Majorca was named as the most affordable Easter holiday destination yesterday by the M&S Bank as the holiday season got into full swing.
According to research from the bank, part of the British retail giant Marks & Spencer, the island offers the greatest value for money of any destination in the Mediterranean.
“Majorca is the most affordable island destination, with a week’s holiday costing just £253 per person. With an average flight time of less than three hours, and ten hours of sunshine a day, it is an ideal choice for families on a budget.
“In contrast, the most expensive holiday destination researched – Hawaii – costs almost five times as much as a trip to Majorca, with an average price of £1,262 per person. This is mostly due to higher flight costs, which come in at £984 per person,” th
