Palma.— “That Felanitx remains clean depends on you” is the slogan for a new campaign to do exactly what the slogan says.
The initiative to clean up the municipality was launched by the local council yesterday because, recent surveys have discovered that one of the problems local residents are most concerned about are dogs fouling the streets and parks and their owners failing to clean up after them.
Special posters have been billed around the municipality warning the general public about the new drive and that failing to comply with the new by-laws, which also included keeping dogs on leads in public places, could result in fines as high as 300 euros. The Local Police are in charge of enforcing the new regulations.
Letting your dog off the lead in Felanitx will be met with a 300 fine
