Almost a third of Balearic youngsters aged 16 to 25 don’t have a job and are currently not studying either, according to government reports.
Balearic Government opposition party members yesterday slammed the authorities for knowing about these alarming figures and still fail to advertise there are options available to these youngsters.
The government has a “Youth Assurance” programme, which is backed with community funds to develop it but which “not everyone is aware of” said Joana Barcelo from the socialist party.
