Hollywood actor Dougray Scott, the villain in Mission Impossible II who ended up scraping it out on the beach with Tom Cruise, is currently filming on the island.

Palma.—The cast and crew are midway through a three week shoot here on the island and Palma Pictures are facilitating the production services as the production shoots at locations, exteriors and interiors, all over the island.
The creative engine behind the production is the prestigious UKproduction company Matador Films, and, along with The Captain Starlight Company and UMedia, they yesterday  announced that they are excited that principal photography on feature film Generation Z has commenced. The film is being shot on location in Wales and Majorca and there is about another ten days of filming to shoot here on the island.
Generation Z is a high-concept action thriller set after an apocalyptic zombie outbreak, where mankind finally has the upper hand. Written by Paul Gerstenberger (All Stars), Generation Z is being directed by Steve Barker (Outpost I and II). The film is produced by Nigel Thomas and Charlotte Walls of Matador Pictures (All Is By My Side) and Nick Gillott of The Captain Starlight Company, and Executive Produced by Karl Richards of UMedia, which financed the  majority of the  film, with Gloucester Place Films.

The superb international cast is led by one time James Bond favourite ahead of Daniel Craig, Dougray Scott (Mission Impossible II, Taken 3, My Week with Marilyn), who stars with Jessica De Gouw (Dracula, Arrow) and Martin McCann (71, The Pacific).
The supporting cast includes Claire Goose (Mount Pleasant), Jassa Ahluwalia (Dragonheart 3: The Sorcerer’s Curse) and Elen Rhys (World War Z).
Charlotte Walls from Matador Pictures said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Steve Barker again for Generation Z and thanks to Paul Gerstenberger’s smart, elevated script we couldn’t have asked for a better cast to bring this highly original and disturbing story world to life.
