Palma.—The Minister for Tourism, Jaime Martinez, yesterday visited Soller to see how the demolition of the Rocamar Hotel is coming along.
Accompanied by the mayor of Soller, Carlos Simarro, the Minister travelled to the port to see the final phase of the project under way.
Two buildings are being demolished and once the area has been cleared, it will then be redeveloped by Soller Council which is going to turn the area into green albeit through which the famous dry stone wall walk will pass.
Martinez praised the mayor for the council’s efforts and said that once the project is completed, the port will be given a new lease of life.
