Palma.—The Secretary General of the Balearic Socialist Party is busy setting about laying down the foundations to winning next year’s elections and deposing the Partido Popular from power.
Earlier this week she spoke of forming a major left-wing pact which would leave the PPout in the cold and yesterday, she met with members of the local tourist industry to hear their concerns with regards to drawing up the Socialist party’s election manifesto.
Armengol held talks with the board of the Balearic Confederation of Tourism Employers and heard that their primary concerns are the all inclusive hotel market, the situation of Palma’s new convention centre, holiday home rentals and the lack of effective measures to prolong the tourist season and boost winter tourism.
