EVERYONEis angry. The cuts to public funding and the austerity programme, which allegedly has dragged the country out of recession, are starting to get infected and it appears that the Partido Popular is running out of time to find a proper cure ahead of the local and general elections next year.
Yes, a few plasters may help to cover over the cracks, but they will not be enough to resolve the real problems the general public, the electorate, are facing.
Social and public services here in the Balearics have certainly been squeezed.
For nearly two years now, my family and I , have been deeply dependent on the Balearic health service.
It all started off impressively well, great resources, quick treatment, excellent doctors and highly professional nurses.
But, something has happened since then and, for no fault of the medical staff, it really does appear that, as the CCOO union is warning, the whole system of public services is going to fall to pieces in the New Year.
I know of highly respected doctors, which the Balearic health service  should have been proud to have on its  staff, who have been left with no other decision but to quit and move to the mainland where the system works. Here they became tired of constant reasons why nothing better could be done for the patients. Something is certainly breaking down and the PP need to acknowledge it - fast.
