A 60-year-old male driver was killed yesterday after being involved in a head on collision with a lorry.

Palma.—Sources for the 016 emergency service reported that the accident happened at 11.10am some eight kilometres outside Lluchmayor down the S’Estanyol road.
The driver was not carrying any documents at the time of the accident and was declared dead at the scene.
He had been crushed by the lorry.
The exact cause of the accident has yet to be confirmed but it is suspected that the driver of the vehicle swerved across the road into the path of the lorry and was unable to avoid the  collision.
