Palma.—The Balearic 112 emergency centre yesterday reported that during the 24 hour period from 7am on Monday to 7am yesterday morning, it fielded a total of 2,240 emergency calls all related to adverse weather conditions.
The bulk of the incidents involved fallen trees, the risk of falling objects such as trees and lamp post etc., land slides which blocked roads and broken traffic lights.
