Palma.—The Guardia Civil are searching for a prisoner who escaped from a jail in Jean, on the mainland, and is thought to be hiding out in the area around Lluchmajor.
The 45-year-old male suspect is accused of having sexually assaulted four of his five children and his wife.
And, it appears that the suspect disappeared while on a day release and decided against returning to the jail, where he has been for a number of years.
The Guardia Civil have received a number of tips linking the wanted man with a property in Lluchmajor.
When the Guardia Civil turned up at the “suspicious” house, they found a lone teenager on the premises who, when asked by the Guardia Civil where his father was, replied that he did not have one and did not allow the Guardia in.
They were therefore forced to leave, none the wiser. But, what the Guardia do know is that the fugitive is accused of having sexually assaulted four of his five children and his wife.
