Balearics hit the London Bike Show

With the sports pages and cycle media in the UK still full of stories which emerged from Team Sky’s training camp in Majorca this winter, the Balearics has taken a promotional campaign to the  London Bike Show.The ATB Balearic Tourism Agency, is promoting the Balearics as a world class cycling destination this weekend at the London Bike Show.
Cycle fans in the United Kingdom, and across the world, know that Majorca is home to Team Sky’s elite annual winter training camps and that in itself  attracts massive media attention every year.
But, not only is Majorca popular with many of the top international cycle teams as a training base, it is also becoming increasingly popular as a cycle tourism destination and that is what the Balearic tourism authorities want to exploit.
Majorca may grab all the headlines but Ibiza and Minorca also boast excellent cycling facilities and routes while here in Majorca, there are companies which specialise in cycle tourism, special buses have even been designed and built to cater for cyclists who wish to move about the island.
