Residents and retailers in Manacor are furious over the continuing chaos in the town centre.
Work on digging up a number of main streets for either repaving or to lay new water and sewage pipes began months ago and the local community had hoped, or rather expected, that the work would have been completed quickly and in time for the summer season.
However, work continues, roads are closed and traffic diverted and retailers re complaining that their business has been hit while residents are upset about the on going noise and general disruption to their daily lives.
Many can even access their under ground garages and are having to fight for parking spaces near their homes.
Apart from the repairs being carried out, Manacor Council eventually plans to remodel the traffic plan in order to make the town centre more pedestrian friendly, but it appears that the local community is running out of patience.
