MBSA, in association with Viajes Adramar, whose Sales and Product Manager, Suzanne Lyons, is acting as the local organising agent, and Calvia Council, which has given its full support and backing to the initiative, are actively promoting Majorca as the perfect sporting destination for UK and European residents. "We believe that inviting Errol McKeller, a well known ambassador for prostate cancer in the United Kingdom, will help us to generate the appropriate individuals and teams to attend this charitable event."
The promotion of this tournament is well underway, and MBSA are delighted that the interest in a beach sports arena is very positive and that a long-term forecast for the event is also positive, with rapid growth expected in forthcoming years. MBSA will of course be inviting and encouraging local teams to take part in the tournament.
Errol was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2010 and since then has worked extremely hard to raise awareness of a disease that is contracted by one in three men. Back in May, he organised an extravagant celebrity charity football match, which pitched the likes of The Chase presenter Bradley Walsh and former pro Thierry Henry against the Leyton Orient legends. He hopes that next year’s event on the island will help to raise awareness of a worthy cause, both home and abroad as well as increase positive tourism to Majorca, especially during the low season.
The tournament will be officially presented to the global tourist industry on the Viajes Adramar stand at the World Travel Market this week in London.
