At an extraordinary meeting of the cabinet on Sunday, the Spanish government is expected to approve the declaration of a state of alarm. This follows requests for this from ten regional governments. A state of alarm gives regional authorities the legal means to introduce tougher mobility restrictions.

I see absolutely no point in imposing a nighttime curfew. This is a military tool used during unrest and disasters usually to stop protests and/or looting. Of what use is it in quelling this virus? Is it because it’s the only thing they can think of? It’s getting to the point of hysteria and panic. The wearing of masks Is equally of no effect whatsoever. What a mess we are getting ourselves into.
