The gloves are definitely off in the fight between Mediterranean destinations with regards to who is going to be open to tourists first and it looks like Crete has one the first round with the German market with other reports indicating that the UK could be following in their footsteps.

It will be interesting to see the dynamic of the Island business changing once again. I believe we will see all the menu's in bars and restaurants and signage in large super markets like El Corte Ingles hurriedly changed back to Russian and Scandinavian languages.
To be honest I am not surprised. I live in Mallorca and its very expensive. Greece is a lot cheaper and good value for money. Sorry!
