Police are investigating the cause of fires that have seriously damaged terrace facilities at two restaurants in Palma's Plaça Olivar.

The fires were detected early on Tuesday morning at the Cor Barra i Taula and Rodeo Grill restaurants. Umbrellas, tables, pergolas and the electrical system were affected.

Indications are that the fires were deliberate.
