On Thursday and Friday, the first Convention of European Tourist Islands was held in Gran Canaria. The islands/territories which participated in this convention called on Brussels to adopt a common European tourism policy that recognises their specific needs and provides solutions to problems facing them.

Hmm... It seems that foreign property buyers don't really have anything to do with climate change after all. At least it wasn't mentioned in this proposal ... yet. It also begs the question of whether buildings on or near beaches have anything to do with climate change (in the Balearics anyway, since oddly, they apparently don't "affect the climate" in other regions of Spain).
