Queen's College Primary are stepping into summer!
The children in Year 2 have been studying the seaside in the past this term; they reflected on the end of their topic with a seaside day at school.
The pupils came to school dressed in their “Sunday best” ready for their stroll along the promenade. They ate fish and chips from paper cones and hokey pokey (ice cream on paper), in true Victorian style! In the afternoon they made Punch and Judy puppets and performed shows to each other. They later wrote postcards to their families.
The nursery children have also been finding out about the sea. It is so hard to believe that their first year of school is about to come to an end; they have grown so much!
The Year 1 children had a wonderful day out at Dinosaur Land.
School visits are such a wonderful starting point for creative writing and art and design work back in the classroom! ROAR!
