Patience is a Virtue
Whenever I think of Mallorcans queuing or waiting patiently, I immediately think of the ‘farmacia’ (chemist).
Week in Review: Royal dinner, taxis queues, illegal holiday lets and hotel conversions
This week in our headlines: The King has dinner in a restaurant in Palma, taxis queues and traffic jams, plus British tourist arrested for running over two people and the sage of El Bungalow beach restaturant.
The waiting game at the chemist
The Mallorcans specialise in turning simple, everyday events like banking, posting a letter, shopping etc into a social gathering.
- UK entry visa comes into force on Wednesday
- Curtain comes down on Son Amar, the popular Mallorca nightspot
- New train service will have 10 kilometre underground section, linked with Palma airport
- Mallorca beaches at Soller and Andratx covered by thousands of 'little sails'
- The Mallorca weather forecast (April 1). Enjoy the good weather while it lasts!
