New Year's Eve parties - from Alcudia to Vilafranca. Not everywhere has one. The biggest is obviously in Palma. The Festival of the Standard in Palma to celebrate the arrival of King Jaume I and his forces in Madina Mayurqa on 31 December, 1229. Said to be the oldest national festival in Europe.
